The Monstrous Monstrance and Reconciliation Everywhere
Here are a couple of photos to give you some idea of pilgrim's access to the Sacraments. The first shows a sizable monstrance containing the Eucharistic Body of Christ, with pilgrims in prayer, inside a large hall in the Sydney Convention Centre.
Eucharistic adoration has become a mainstay of World Youth Day, with it occuring as a part of most of the major youth festivals, as part of many of the 235 catechesis sessions offered on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning by the world's bishops, and at many Churches throughout the city.
As with every World Youth Day, you'll find Mass and access to the Sacrament of Reconciliation
everywhere. Nearly every venue and youth festival has priests tucked in Churches and other nooks and crannies hearing confessions from pilgrims. In this photo, although it's hard to make out, you'll see a priest hearing a confession in front of a large power/electricity box. At the Convention Centre, there are several stations set up, each with priests conveying the forgiveness of Christ in a variety of languages.

Thanks for posting these pictures. I am in the picture with the monstrance and am grateful to have a picture that captures that moment in my journey so wonderfully. Thanks again and God Bless! ¡Viva il Papa!
